Optional viewing analytics help me understand engagement with my compositing reel. No directly identifying personal information is intentionally stored in the analytics database.

Necessary cookies

These cookies remember access to the password-protected reel, owner sign-in and your cookie choice. They support site functionality and are separate from optional analytics.

Analytics cookies

Viewing analytics are optional and off until you select Accept in the cookie notice. Rejecting does not affect access or playback. A separate preference cookie remembers Accept or Reject for six months. Use Cookie settings in the site footer to change your choice at any time. Withdrawing clears the analytics cookie and stops future collection; it does not automatically delete events already recorded.

Essential reel and owner sign-in cookies are separate from analytics. Browser Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track preferences keep analytics off.

What is recorded after you accept

Reel page visits, successful access, plays and playback milestones may be recorded alongside a timestamp, general device type, referral website and an optional source label. Approximate country, region and city may be supplied by Cloudflare; your browser’s location is never requested.

Referrals are reduced to a website hostname. Full URLs and raw browser user agents are not stored. The analytics database does not store IP addresses, names, email addresses, precise coordinates or fingerprint hashes.

First-party sessions

A secure, first-party session cookie remembers reel access during your browser session, with a maximum validity of seven days. Browser session restoration may preserve this access after restarting. Separate cookies remember owner dashboard access for up to seven days and, only with your analytics consent, group viewing visits for up to seven days. These viewing identifiers are pseudonymous, not a guarantee of anonymity. A temporary viewing identifier separates individual page visits. These identifiers are not shared across websites. Counts represent browser sessions, not identified people.

Playback is measured at 25%, 50%, 75% and completion, rather than by sending a continuous playback history. Browser requests marked with Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track are respected by the reel analytics script.

Storage and access

Viewing data is available only in a separately protected owner dashboard. It is stored in Cloudflare D1 when the site is hosted there. Cloudflare also processes network requests to deliver and protect the site; addresses may be used transiently for rate limiting. The dashboard displays the last 30 days. Data is retained until the owner deletes it; this first version does not automatically expire database records.

Marketing and personalisation

This site does not use advertising cookies, marketing pixels or additional personalisation cookies. No Google Analytics or third-party tracking scripts are used.
